Origin and Funding Partners The Virginia History Production Consortium formed with the purpose of creating fourth-fifth grade Virginia History video programs and supporting print and Internet materials that addressed critically important Virginia Standards of Learning. The Consortium funded Episode #1, "Taxes and Transportation". The Virginia Department of Education funded Episode #2, "Making the Move". The Virginia State ITV Contract through all Virginia Public Television Stations and Regional Schools Contracting and Planning Committees funded Episode #3. "Virginia Government". All material are made available at no charge to Virginia school divisions. Contact your local public television station for broadcast dates.
